Shipping Policy
Handcrafted in Bala, Muskoka. If anything here needs clarifying, we are always happy to help.
The short version: we ship anywhere in Canada during the cooler months of October through April, so your chocolates arrive in perfect condition. Shipping is a flat rate calculated at checkout, and it is free on orders over $150. Prefer to skip shipping? Local pickup at our Bala shop is always free.

Chocolate is a delicate thing to send through the mail, so we take a little extra care with every shipment. Here is what to expect when you order online.
Where do you ship?
We ship anywhere within Canada. At this time we are not able to offer international shipping. If you are outside Canada and would like to send a gift, please get in touch and we will do what we can to help.
Why do you only ship October to April?
To protect your chocolates from summer heat, we ship only during the cooler months, from October through April. Bonbons will melt above 26C, so shipping outside this window puts your order at risk. During the warmer months you are very welcome to visit us in Bala or arrange a local pickup.
How much is shipping?
We charge a single flat rate for shipping anywhere in Canada, calculated at checkout. Orders over $150 ship free, and local pickup in Bala is always free.
How long does delivery take?
Once your order is on its way, typical courier transit times are:
- 1 to 2 days within Ontario
- 3 to 5 days to other provinces
We will provide a tracking number so you can follow your shipment. Please note that transit times are set by the courier and are outside our control, so we cannot guarantee an exact delivery date.
What if I get my address wrong?
Please double check your mailing address at checkout. Accurate address information is the responsibility of the customer, and we cannot be held liable for delays caused by couriers or other third parties once an order has left our shop. Additional shipping charges may apply to address changes after a parcel has been picked up.
Can I pick up in Bala?
You are always welcome to collect your order in person at our shop at 1004 Elm St in Bala. We are open daily from 10am to 5pm from June to mid-October, and typically Thursday to Sunday in the off-season, so please check our current hours or call 705-706-1950 to arrange a pickup time. Pickup is a lovely option any time of year, and especially during the summer months when we pause shipping.
Will my chocolate melt in transit?
Our bonbons travel well for a few days as long as they are kept cool. Once your order arrives, keep it away from sunlight, heat and humidity: we recommend refrigerating your chocolates in an airtight container and enjoying them within about four weeks for the best flavour.
